Sarah E. Collier passed away on June 7, 2026, in Carnegie, Oklahoma at the age of 103. Born on March 1, 1923, in Viola, Tennessee, Sarah was the daughter of Herman and Mamie Stubblefield. She graduated from McMinnville High School in McMinnville, Tennessee, and earned degrees from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee in 1943, and Harding University in Searcy Arkansas in 1945.  During her college years, she was a member of Alpha Honor Society and was recognized in "Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities."

After graduating on May 31, 1945, she married Loyd Collier in an outdoor wedding on the campus of Harding. Sarah began her teaching career at Harding Academy. In 1947, she and Loyd moved to Zurich, Switzerland, to study German. Together, they began a 25-year ministry in Frankfurt, Germany, in 1948. Helping people in the aftermath of World War II, they spread God's word and provided food, clothing, and support to those in need. They eventually worked in Wiesbaden, Essen, and Düsseldorf. During those years, Sarah welcomed many into their home, taught children's Bible classes, and led women's workshops. She selflessly and lovingly sought ways to serve God by serving others. Upon returning to the United States, she taught in Dierks, Arkansas, and later in Elgin, Oklahoma.

She was a faithful member of the Porter Hill Church of Christ in Elgin, Oklahoma, and of the Western Hills Church of Christ in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Her four children survive her: Connie Allison (widow of Tony Allison) of Lawton, Oklahoma; James Dale Collier and his wife, Irmgard, of Marburg, Germany; Linda Gilpatrick of Lawton, Oklahoma; and David Collier and his wife, Urszula, of Brentwood, Tennessee.

Sarah's grandchildren are Scott Allison and his wife, Jennifer, of Houston, Texas; Wes Allison and his wife, Angela, of Louisville, Kentucky; Chris Allison of Lawton, Oklahoma; Tami Springer of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; Josh Gilpatrick and his wife, Lindsay, of Cary, North Carolina; Julia Collier of Brentwood, Tennessee; and Daniel Collier of Astoria, New York.

Nine great-grandchildren also survive her, including Gibson Allison and Alice Kate Allison of Houston, Texas (children of Scott Allison); Autumn Allison and Avery Allison of Louisville, Kentucky (children of Wes Allison); Adrieana Gill of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; Sarah Wood of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Michael Wood, Jr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (children of Tami Springer); and Finn Gilpatrick and River Gilpatrick of Cary, North Carolina (children of Joshua Gilpatrick).

Sarah has five great-great-grandchildren: Angel Gill, Kinzee Swanson, and Koree Swanson of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; Gavin Wood and Faith Wood of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Loyd Collier; her five brothers, Herman, Robert, Edwin, James, and Charles Stubblefield; and a great-granddaughter Bethany Wood.
