Age 66, Lawton - Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm Monday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with her brother Robert Carter and her brother-in-law Roy Paul officiating. Mrs. Zumwalt died Friday in a Lawton hospital following a lengthy illness. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. She was born July 14, 1941 in Lawton to Leonard Luther and Hazel Fern (Bishop) Carter. She attended Central Junior High and graduated from Lawton High School. She later attended Arizona State University where she received her Associates Degree. She was very active in various charities in the Lawton community. Survivors include her four children, a son Kent Stabler and his wife Tina, daughter Gina Ward, daughter Sharlena Smith and her husband Randy, and a son Giovanni Zumwalt all of Lawton. She is also survived by two sisters and a brother, Bob Carter and wife Jeannett, her sister Sherry Tilley and husband Clyde and sister Bettye Paul and husband Roy, and six grandchildren, three nieces and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
