Age, 82, Lawton - Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday in the Northwest Baptist Church with Dr. Bill Sprague, Pastor, officiating. Mrs. Coleman died Wednesday at her home. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5-7 pm at the funeral home. She was born on March 26, 1927 in Chesterfield, South Carolina to James Hilen and Lexie (Rivers) Nivens. She married 1SG (Ret) Logan Coleman on November 22, 1952 in Chesterfield. He died on March 18, 2004 in Lawton. She was a professional seamstress, a military wife, ardent gardener, and loving mother. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald L. Coleman and Belinda of Lawton; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Linda K. Coleman Bennett and Richard of Altus and Wanda Karen Coleman and Tom Becerra of Dallas, Texas; 3 grandchildren, Kathryn Coleman, Misty Crisel and her husband Steven and Tony Menifee and his wife Cher; 2 great grandchildren, Nicholas Crisel and Gabriel Menifee; a sister, Nevada Johnson; a niece, Brenda Cason; and a nephew, Chris Cason Her parents, a daughter, Jacqueline and two brothers, Hayward and DeWitt Nivens preceded her in death.
