Funeral service for Ruthie M. Wallis, 84, Duncan, will be 2:00 pm Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel, Lawton. Mrs. Wallis passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014 in Lawton The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Ruthie was born November 24, 1929 to Tom and Lorna Mae Ferrell. She grew up in Lawton and spent most of her life here. She married Benny Wallis and was widowed in 1982. She loved her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Duncan. Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Laura and Rick Everett, Marlow; grandchildren and their spouses, Eric and Jennifer Everett, Tara and Sean Nelson, Bobbi Jo and Matt Winburn and Robert Porch and his family; great grandchildren, Evie and Logan Everett, C.J. and Charlyee Nelson, Ellye Jo and Eli Winburn; siblings, Bud Ferrell, Lorene Penland, Neva Mincey, Vernon Ward, Sue Wheatley and Travis Ward. She was preceded in death by her son Robert Charles Porch, Jr. and a brother Lewis Ward.
