Funeral service for Ruth "Granny" Tuck, 91, Fletcher, will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, October 12, 2013 in the First Baptist Church, Fletcher with Rev. A.L. Swagerty, Fletcher, OK and Rev. Rodney Campbell, Pastor of the First Baptist Church, Fletcher officiating. Mrs. Tuck passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2013 in Lawton. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Lawton, under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Fletcher. Ruth was born October 30, 1921 in Springer, Carter County, Oklahoma to John and Norma (Gillum) Smith. She moved to Ardmore where she married Hershel Tuck, Sr. in 1935. They moved to Fletcher in 1956. Ruth was a lifelong cook, and owned three restaurants before becoming a dietary specialist in a health care facility. Ruth was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fletcher, the Cedar Grove Quilting Club, the Lady Cackler's Group and the Fletcher Mountain View Family & Community Education Group. She is survived by her five children; Patsy Barnes of Marion, AR, Margie Parsons & husband Carl of Fletcher, Herb Tuck of Lawton, Ronnie Tuck & wife Barbara of Duncan and Hershel Tuck, Jr. & wife TJ of Fletcher. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 23 great-great grandchildren, 10 great-great-great grandchildren and a sister Mutt Royal of Bakersfield, CA. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Hershel, two children, Barbara and Tommy, a brother JB Smith and a sister Zuelma.
