Age 78, Lawton - Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Rogers died Friday in a Lawton hospital. Burial will be under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Ruth was born July 27, 1932 in Lawton to Ralph and Nora Nickell Klein. She attended the Bethel and Central High Public Schools east of Lawton. Ruth and Jesse Taff married June 5, 1947. He preceded her in death on November 10, 1971. Together they had three children. They owned and operated Jesse's Carpet Service and Floor Cleaning. After his death she was employed by Sauerman Auto Parts as a bookkeeper until her retirement. She later married Marvin Rogers on January 16, 1976. He preceded her in death on November 21, 2009. Survivors include two sons and daughters in law, Johnny and Linda Taff, Lawton, and Darrell and Rhonda Taff, Cullman, Alabama; a daughter and son in law, Vickie and Jerry Snider, Lawton; five grandchildren and their spouses, Shane and Eva Taff, Duncan, Kendra and Barry Moreland, Stillwater, Keana and Paul Ayers, Muskogee, Kimberly Taff, Fletcher, Derrick and Patricia Taff, Colorado; nine great grandchildren Chloe', Justin, Cody, Ashley, Addie, Gracen, Mattlin, Bryce and Ashtyn; two brothers and sisters in law, Ralph and Shirley Klein, Illinois, and Glen and Anna Klein, Duncan; a sister and brother in law, Marcella and Charles Phelps, Kentucky; special cousins, Margaret Yoder, Lawton, and Wayne Williamson, Dallas; and special friends, Sue and Ray Lodes, Elgin, Ira and Anita Sawyer and Gladys Brock, all of Apache. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis TN 38105 The family will greet friends from 6-8 pm Monday at the Funeral Home.
