Age 86, Lawton - Services will be at 10:30 AM Wednesday at the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tom Willoughby, associate pastor at First Baptist Church officiating. Mrs. Bentley died Sunday. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Bentley was born December 29, 1921 in Grandfield, Oklahoma, the daughter of Jesse Gill and Mary Elsie (O'Daniel) Hanna. Mrs. Bentley graduated from Grandfield High School. Ruth was married to R. D. Bentley, a local plumber. He preceded her in death. They enjoyed twenty five years of marriage and some wonderful trips together. Ruth enjoyed her role as a homemaker, mother and was a faithful supportive daughter. She traveled the state helping set up S&H Green Stamp Stores and after thirty years of service retired as manager. She served as manager of Perms Plus, a Lawton hair salon and retired after ten years. Ruth was a member of and served as president of Lawton's Business and Professional Women's Club. She enjoyed the Art of Millinery' and was a certified milliner. She was blessed to be a cancer survivor. Ruth was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lawton. Survivors include her former husband but a friend, Carl Cooper, two step-sons, Carl Harold Cooper and his wife of Iowa and Gary Cooper of Kansas, five grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Miriam Hanna of Tipton, Oklahoma and Margaret Hanna of Pomona, California, four nieces and two nephews. She is also survived by special friends, Pat and Lloyd Meadlock and children. She was preceded in death by her husband, two children, Faye Louise Cooper and Jay Scott Cooper, her parents, three brothers, Paul, Mark and Jess Hanna and one sister, Faye.
