Graveside funeral service for Ruby Mildred Mitchell, 92, Lawton, will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Walters Cemetery. Mrs. Mitchell died Saturday in Lawton. Burial will be under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. She was born January 7, 1920 in Rule, Texas, to Bessie and Benjamin Huggins. They moved to Oklahoma in 1923. She married Leonard L. Mitchell on November 17, 1934 at Lawton, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in March of 2000. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Walters. She is survived by a son and daughter in law, Leon and Roberta Mitchell, Lawton; two daughters, Geraldine Pearson, Brenham, Texas, and Nancy Britt and her husband Gene of Lumberton, North Carolina; a brother, Raymond Huggins, Apache; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. Her husband, a son, Paul Dean, a daughter, Pat Downing, two grandchildren, Janette and Rodney Downing, three brothers, Edgar, Elton and Clint Huggins, and three sisters, Beula Reeder, Louise Price and Violet Burke, preceded her in death.
