Funeral service for Roy Wayne Terry, 75, Snyder will be at 10:30am Wednesday in the Snyder First United Methodist Church with Rev. Patrick McPherson, Pastor officiating. Mr. Terry died Monday in a Snyder nursing home. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Snyder under the direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Snyder. *** Visitation will be Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 6pm until 8pm *** He was born June 23, 1935 in Mountain Park, Oklahoma to Oliver D. and Evelyn (Petty) Terry. He married Dixey A. Dollins on October 27, 1953 in Walters, Oklahoma. He served in the US Army from 1954 until 1955. Roy started his own oil field service company, T & T Pipe and Valve in 1975. He retired in 1990 and moved back to Oklahoma to farm and ranch. He is survived by his wife Dixey of the home, three children, Rex Terry and his wife Becky of Pearland, TX, Ronda Webb of Lawton, OK, Renae Newsom of Palestine, TX, , four grandchildren, Cooper Terry, Weston Newsom, Catherine Streetman, Jayna Kennedy and husband Eric, great granddaughter Ansley Kennedy and a brother Lloyd Terry of Tyler, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Clyde and Glenn and a sister Annis Thompson.
