Funeral service for Rosemary Bainbridge will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 23, 2016 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Keith Miles, pastor of Central Baptist Church officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Rosemary Bainbridge, age 94, of Lawton, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 in Lawton.  She was born October 31, 1922 on a farm Southeast of Elgin, Oklahoma to Claude G. and Sadie E. Hoopingarner Bentley.  She attended Mistletoe Grade School and graduated from Elgin High School in 1940 as Valedictorian of her class.  She later attended Draughon's Business University in Oklahoma City.  Mrs. Bainbridge began her professional career by working first in Security Bank and Trust Company and then for the Comanche County Treasurer's Office as chief bookkeeper for many years.  She was first elected to the position of County Treasurer in 1973 and served in that capacity until retiring in October 1986.  She was a former member of the Oklahoma County Officers Association and also the Retired County Officers Association.  She was also a former member of the American Business Women's Association.  Mrs. Bainbridge had been a member of Central Baptist Church since 1942.  She married Lloyd Bainbridge on February 16, 1955.  They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on February 16, 2005.  Lloyd passed away on June 2, 2008.

Survivors include one son, Terry D. Bainbridge, of Lawton, many nieces and nephews and her three caregivers, Debra Harper, Vanessa Simmons and Rene Gardner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Sidney, Jim and Bob and three sisters, Lois Atteberry, Bessie Ambrose and Billie Jean Cox.
