Ronny G. Calhoun passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the home of his sister in Moore, Oklahoma. He was born on November 23, 1957, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Curtis and Reba Calhoun. Ronny grew up in Lawton, Oklahoma, and graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1977.
During junior high and high school, he played on the Eisenhower baseball team. He shared many stories from his baseball years, but the one he cherished most-and the one his family remembers well-was being the first player to hit an out-of-the-park home run on the new high school baseball field. Ronny loved all sports, but baseball held a special place in his heart.
After graduation, he had the opportunity to travel while working for Halliburton. He later worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber before discovering his passion for remodeling homes and painting. He painted many facilities on Fort Sill Military Post and worked on numerous projects with his dear friends Gene Warner and Stacy Sawyer.
Ronny enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and anything that involved competition or being outdoors.
He is survived by his mother, Reba Calhoun, three children, Tracie (Chris) Zeller, Jamie (Rickey) McNeill and Justin Kerr; nine grandchildren, Brooklynne, Kage, Thatcher, Luke, Wyatt, Paylen, Tatum, Kinsley and Shephard, brother, Danny Calhoun and two sisters and their husbands Janice and Charlie Cagle of Shady Dale Georgia, and Connie and Fred Leighty of Moore, Oklahoma, three nieces and two nephews: Gary (Haley), Kristen (Brandon), Kenny, Amber (David) and Ashley (Tobin), ten great nieces, Morgan, Corbi, Lakyn, Brekyn, Oakley, Varenna, Sawyer, Marli, Lily, Mia, and one great nephew, Memphis; Many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends
He is preceded in death by his father, Curtis Calhoun, one sister-in-law, Terri Calhoun, one brother-in-law, Don Heaton, and his grandparents.
