Funeral service for Roland John "Buddy" VanCleave, 61, Lawton, will be 2:00 p.m. Monday in Cameron Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Jones, Pastor officiating. Mr. VanCleave died Wednesday in Lawton. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. He was born August 11, 1950 in Berlin, Germany, to Billy and Irene Christie (Pavlock) VanCleave. He was a graduate of Eisenhower High School and later earned his associates degree in real estate from Cameron College. He married Sandra Kay Hulen on August 18, 1974 in Lawton. She preceded him in death on June 2, 1999. Mr. VanCleave worked as a real estate agent until the early 1980's and then went to work for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company where he was employed until the time of his death. He is survived by four sons, Chris VanCleave and Robin, Edmond, Oklahoma, Casey VanCleave and Melanie, McKinney, Texas, Chad VanCleave and Renessa, Allen, Texas, and Cody VanCleave and Kelsey, Oklahoma City; three grandchildren, Ashley, Brock and Kash; a sister, Sandy Wamsley, Lawton.
