Funeral service for Robert "Bob" Strange will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Elgin First United Methodist Church, Elgin, Oklahoma with Curtis Erwin, Senior Pastor of Crossroads Baptist Church, Elgin, officiating.

Robert "Bob" Strange, 76, El Reno, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, August 16, 2019 at his home in El Reno. He was born March 9, 1943 in Elgin to Earl Edwin and Georgia (Hall) Strange.

Bob was a salesman and innovator in the paint industry. He loved his customers and treated them more like family than a business. He was a leader in any community that he lived. In Phoenix, Arizona Bob was recognized for his time with Habitat for Humanity and was a member of Sheriff Joe Arpaios' posse. While living in Elgin, Bob received awards for working closely with the school system and the Future Farmers of America (FFA) program. He was a member of the Elgin First United Methodist Church and was instrumental in the construction of the fellowship hall. He had a "Git-r-done" attitude and always found a way to get things done. Bob loved cooking with his smoker and making his special beans. Every Sunday he fed half the town of Elgin. He was a people lover and never met a stranger. Bob had four children of his own but had many more who called him dad. He would frequently circle the cul-de-sac where he lived in Elgin honking his horn for the neighborhood kids to come out so he could take them to get ice cream. Bob loved motorcycles beginning with a Honda and ending with a Harley. He loved taking his kids fishing and running trotlines. Fishermen always have big tales to tell. He enjoyed playing poker and built two poker rooms at his house. His greatest love was his children and they were with him everywhere he went whether it was fishing, riding motorcycles, playing cards or working bass tournaments feeding the masses. Bob was a caregiver, an encourager and a people builder. He loved life and will be missed by all.

Survivors include his three children, two daughters, Yolanda Warren and husband Darren of El Reno, Kelli Henricksen and husband Roger of El Reno, one son, Shawn Strange of Walters, Oklahoma, nine grandchildren, Justin Nisbett, Jordan Nisbett, Colton Warren, Ashley Strange, Tiffany Strange, Autumn Strange, Braden Robert Earl Strange, Dakota Bartram and Reagan Henricksen, six great grandchildren plus two on the way, former wife, Kitty Strange and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Robbie Dale Strange.
