Graveside service for Robert Mason Simmons, 71, Elgin will be at 2:00 PM Friday, March 13, 2015 at Fairview Cemetery in Apache with Rev. Bud Jones officiating. Mr. Simmons died Saturday, March 7, 2015 in Elgin. Burial with military honors will be under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home, Lawton. He was born January 2, 1944 in Anadarko, Oklahoma to Lonnie L. and Viola (Schneeberger) Simmons. He married Wanda Marie Hodges. Mr. Simmons had served in the U.S. Army and was retired from Civil Service. He enjoyed flea markets and garage sales. Survivors include his brother, George Simmons, Apache, daughter, Margaret Potter and her husband Dennis and their children, John Potter and Shayna Potter, all of Troupsburg, New York, a son, Robert Simmons and his wife Linda, Dallas, Georgia and their children, Brittany Simmons, Cypress, Texas, Richard Simmons, Magnolia, Texas and Austin Simmons and his wife Aubry, North Carolina and four great grandchildren, Mason, Devlin, Carmen and Zane, all of Troupsburg, New York. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
