Graveside service for Robert Ray Long, 72, Roosevelt, will be at 10:00 am Friday, July 11, 2014 in the Mountain Park Cemetery with Elder Gene Morris, Evangelist. Cooperton, OK officiating. Robert passed away Monday, July 7, 2014 in Oklahoma City. Burial will be in the Mountain Park Cemetery under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Snyder. He was born December 26, 1941 in Snyder to Albert L. and Voida Elizabeth (Owens) Long. He served in the US Navy and was honorably discharged. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and especially rattlesnake hunting. He loved playing the guitar, and was a drywaller by trade. Survivors include his three daughters, Robin and husband Eddie Evans of Purcell, OK, Roxanne Shipley and husband Bruce of Moore, OK, Rena Turpin of Wichita Falls, TX, 2 brothers, A.T. Long of Snyder, OK, Gary Long and wife Glenna of Weatherford, OK, 3 sisters, Joy and husband Bill Evans of Nevada, MO, Naomi Studdard of Snyder, OK, Rita Walker of Snyder, OK, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two nieces, Debora Evans and Gayla Walker.
