Age 87, Lawton - Graveside service will be 10:00 am Friday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Jim McGuire, Chaplain, Hospice of Southwest Oklahoma, officiating. Mr. Lowry died Tuesday at his home. Service will be under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home. He was born in Lawton on October 8, 1921 to William Charles and Nellie Mae (Easton) Lowry. Mr. Lowry graduated from Lawton High School with the class of 1941. He worked for Ozmun Grocery Wholesale as a truck driver and bookkeeper for many years before working as the Receiving Manager at Montgomery Wards until his retirement in 1983. He married Jean Moxley on May 27, 1947 in Lawton. Survivors include his wife of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert Eugene and Rhonda Lowry of Chico, Texas; a daughter, Vicki Lynn Lowry of Sarasota, Florida; 2 granddaughters, Brandi Dawn and her husband Kris Riccitelli of Moore, Oklahoma and Daryl Ann Lowry of Chico, Texas; 2 sisters, Dixie Mae Botner of Missouri and Laverne and her husband Tom Henry of Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews. His parents and three brothers, Mitchell, Alan and Jimmy preceded him in death.
