Age 80, Grand Prairie, TX - Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Saturday in the Becker Funeral Home Chapel, Snyder with Rev. Dale Parkhill, Pastor of the Fundamental Baptist Church, Irving, TX officiating. Mr. Heien died Monday in a Dallas hospital. Burial with military honors will be in Fairlawn cemetery under the direction of Becker Funeral Home of Snyder. *** The family will greet friends Friday evening at the funeral home from 6:00pm until 8:00pm *** He was born May 6, 1927 in Mountain Park, Oklahoma to Elmer Joseph and Gladys Heien. He graduated from Snyder High School in 1945, and soon after entered the US Army where he served in Germany with the Occupation forces. He married Julia Henry on April 6, 1951 in Lawton, Oklahoma. In 1952 he went to work for Vought Aircraft Industry as a supply representative. He retired in May of 1987 after thirty five years. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include his wife Julia of the home, three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert W. and Jolene Heien, Roy Gene and Lori Heien and Roger Louis and Barbara Hein all of Grand Prairie, TX, his brother and sister-in-law, Dave and Betty Lou Heien of Marlow, OK, five grandchildren, Samantha Robinson of Grand Prairie, TX, Jeremy Heien and wife Amanda of Mineral Wells, TX, Rashell Leigh Heien of Grand Prairie, TX, Ryan Louis Heien of Grand Prairie, TX and Tommy Jordan and wife Audrey of Blum, TX. He is also survived by five great grandchildren, Mikhayla, Clayton, David, Felisha and Lane. He was preceded in death by his parents.
