Memorial service for Robert J. (Bob) Wortman will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2017, in Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Robert J. (Bob) Wortman died Thursday, May 18, 2017, at the age of 70.  He was born October 7, 1946 in Lawton, Oklahoma.  He married Linda K. Richardson on February 28, 1972 in Clovis, New Mexico.

He retired in 2009 from H&R Block where he had worked as a tax preparer for at least 15 years. After graduating from high school in Clovis, New Mexico he joined the U.S. Army, serving from 1965 to 1969.  He was a veteran of the Vietnam war.  He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal with 2 Over Seas Bars, Marksman (Rifle M-14) (M-16) Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/2 Bronze Stars and Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device.

He enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys. He was a Baptist.

He is survived by his wife, of the home; son Bill Wortman, Lawton, Oklahoma, daughter Cindy Cano, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, brother Tony Wortman Perkins, Bentonville, Arkansas, 2 grandsons, Rome Cano and Cole Cano both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 2 nieces and a nephew.

His parents preceded him in death.
