Age 47, Elgin - Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Monday at Paradise Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Donny Crittendon, Pastor officiating. Mr. Blackburn died Thursday, April 17, 2008. He was born October 2, 1960 to Robert J. and Willa (Caudill) Blackburn at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He grew up in Lawton and attended Lawton Public Schools. Robert traveled all over the United States and had many adventures in his life before settling down in Talihina, Oklahoma. He worked for the City of Talihina for twelve years and was the director of the Talihina Emergency Management Services. He married Carolyn Gravitt in Talihina on February 27, 1984. She passed away December 18, 2007 in Lawton. Survivors include two step-sons and their spouses, Kelly Wayne and Ashley Gravitt of Talihina, William Wayne and Shannon Gravitt of Stillwater, two brothers, Richard Martin of Germany and David Mitchell of Oklahoma City. He is also survived by his sister Trudi and her husband Robert Glass of Elgin, three grandchildren, Wayne, Austin and Aubrey Gravitt of Stillwater, his parents Willa and Howard Caudill of Lawton, nine beloved nieces and nephews, Betty Sue Archambault and Richard Nance of Florida, Heather, Holly and Hanna Glass of Elgin, Callie, Larry, Jr., Crystal and Justin Edwards of Panama, OK, and special friends Robert Solenburg, Travis Klinegardner, Dolores Ward and Robert and Christi Hubbard.
