Age 96, Lawton - Funeral mass will be 9:30 AM Wednesday in the Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Kirk Larkin, Pastor, and Rev. Mr. Herman Lawrence, Deacon, officiating. Mr. Belie died Sunday in a local care center. Burial with full military honors will be in the Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home. He was born on November 19, 1911 in Russia to John and Barbara (Schrade) Belie. He married Rose Ann Keller in Charlotte, North Carolina on September 24, 1946. He served in the US Army and retired after 20 years. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He worked for civil service at Fort Sill and retired after many years. He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of the home; five children, Robert Gary Belie and his wife, Nanette, of Moorpark, California, Kathy Ann Stonitsch and her husband, Peter, of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Patty Lynn Ferguson and her husband, Bill, of Lawton, Nancy Susan Cole and her husband, Don, of Little Rock, Arkansas, and John Richard Belie of Tulsa; 13 grandchildren, Christopher Scott Belie, Michael Matthew Belie and his wife, Debbie, CPT Robert James Todd Belie, Stephen Andrew Belie, John Robert Stonitsch, Katherine Joan Stonitsch, Mike Ferguson and his wife, Courtney, Joe Ferguson, Christina, Joshua and Matthew Cole, and Natalie and Lindsey Belie; three great grandchildren, Kelsey, Kinsley and Alyssa; and a sister, Mary Schmidt of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
