Rise Ann Boling passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at her residence in Lawton, Oklahoma, at the age of 74. She was born on July 1, 1949, in Wewoka, Oklahoma, to Albert W. and Margie Dean (Crabtree) Douglas. Raised in a military household, she experienced frequent relocations, attending various schools before graduating from high school in Junction City, Kansas.

On June 18, 1982, Rise Ann married Bill Boling, Jr. in Lawton. She served as the dedicated church secretary for Western Hills Christian Church for 37 years. Additionally, she actively participated in First Baptist Church, teaching children's Sunday school and volunteering weekly in the church kitchen. She would also volunteer with Feeding the Hungry and faithfully serving the LHS football team before games, and then would often attend games to cheer them on.

Ann was the ultimate sports enthusiast. Her favorite teams were the Oklahoma Sooners, Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers and OKC Thunder. She did her best to never miss a game, even watching them on TV at the church while cooking and serving. She loved to read and could even be caught with a book in her hand at a stoplight. She loved animals, especially turtles and would stop to rescue any she saw crossing the road. She never met a stranger and once she knew your name, you were family. Ann also loved going to Wayne's Drive Inn and getting her daily Coke.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Boling, Jr.; her son, Tyler Hicks; her daughter and son-in-law, Meghan and Scotty Golden; four grandchildren, Emeri C. Golden, Vada F. Golden, Sawyer I. Golden and Riley Massey; her sister and brother-in-law, Gay Lynn and Daryl Cagle; her brother, Terry Douglas; sister-in-law, Jeanne Douglas; niece, Kendall Draycott and husband Jeff; nephew, Chris Cagle and wife Kelley; and special friends, Billie Osborn and Donna Caldwell.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jim Douglas.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society Lawton - Comanche County, P.O. Box 3134,  Lawton, Oklahoma 73502-3134 in honor of her beloved dog Harley, who was a rescue adopted through them.
