Word has been received on the death of Richard Warren "Dick" Scouten, 91, Lawton. Mr. Scouten died Sunday in the Lawton/Fort Sill Veterans Center No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. He was born May 27, 1921 in Syracuse, New York to Harvey R. and Sabra Ada (Wells) Scouten. He served in the Army Air Corp during WW II. Dick married Eunice Margaret Blankman on May 27, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY. She died in 1995. He enjoyed inventing, and farming was his great passion. Survivors include his six children, Ginger Pickron of Harrison, AR, Peggy Phillips of Apple Valley, CA, Julie Peters of Orange, CA, Mike Scouten of Lawton, OK, Mark Scouten of Harrison, AR and Laurie Essig of Wilsonville, OR. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
