Graveside service with military honors for Richard Eugene Birch will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma.

Services are under the direction of the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Richard E. Birch, 74, of Lawton, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022, in Snyder, Oklahoma.

Richard was born on October 20, 1947, in Reno, Nevada to Martin Eugene and Irene (Thompson) Birch. He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 till 1973 where he served in Vietnam and received a Bronze Star. After leaving the military he returned to Lawton where he worked as an electrician on various jobs.

Richard is survived by his mother, Irene Dixon; daughter, Feliciana Asnap; brother, David Dixon and wife Jody; two sisters, Shirley Yarbrough and Susan Dalrymple and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Laverna Asnap Birch; his father, Martin Eugene Birch; sister, Sharon Brown; three brothers-in-law, Bill Brown, Robert Yarbrough and Douglas Dalrymple.
