It is with great heartache to share the passing of Rene David Gotiear, Sr. who left us on May 18, 2024 at the age of 64. He was with his wife, Rachel, up until his final moments. Rene was a man of immense humor, wisdom and integrity. He cherished moments with friends and family but especially loved summers with his 12 grandkids. His passion included all things aviation and was a pillar in the scale model community where he was known internationally for his work and contributions.

Rene was born on March 8, 1960 to Stanley Odelbert Gotiear and Laura Ann Little (Wittkowski).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley, Laura, and Bobbie Delores Gotiear and sister, Mariannette Gotiear.

Rene will be honored and survived by his wife, Rachel Gotiear of Lawton Oklahoma, his five children, Adrian Wright (Shonda) of Alabama, Crystal Ybanez (Michael) of Wisconsin, Rene David Gotiear II (Andrea) of Wisconsin, Amanda Torres (David) of Missouri and Barron Fritts of Lawton Oklahoma, twelve grandchildren, six great grandchildren, five sisters and three brothers.

To commemorate his remarkable life and the memories we cherish, a service will be held at Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel; 1502 NW Fort Sill Boulevard Lawton, OK 73507 on Wednesday May 29, 2024 at 12:00 P.M. Military honors will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin. We welcome all who knew him to join us in celebrating the life of a man who was loved deeply and will be missed.
