Age 82, Lawton - There are no services planned at this time. Mrs. Christy died Thursday at a local care center. Arrangements are with Becker Funeral Home.. Mrs. Christy was born on May 5, 1926 in Berlin, Germany to Walter and Anna (Seawalt) Pavlock. She graduated from a nursing school in Germany before coming to the United States after World War II. She was employed at Southwestern Medical Center for over 25 years. She married Joe Christy in1972 in Lawton. Mr. Christy died in 1988. Survivors include a son, Roland VanCleave of Lawton; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Eric Wamsley of Lawton; 6 grandchildren, Chris VanCleave and his wife Robin of Oklahoma City, Casey VanCleave and his wife Melanie of McKinney, Texas, Chad VanCleave of McKinney, Texas, Cody VanCleave of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Rachel Wamsley and Eric Wamsley both of Lawton; and 3 great grandchildren. Her parents and a daughter-in-law, Sandy VanCleave preceded her in death.
