Word has been received on the death of Raymond Joe Roberts, 56, Granite, Oklahoma. Mr. Roberts died Saturday, July 14, in a Lawton hospital. No services are scheduled. Arrangements are under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Lawton, OK. Raymond was born January 16, 1956 in Lawton, Ok to Ralph S. and Nellie Marie (King) Roberts. He was raised in Fletcher, Oklahoma. Raymond joined the Coast Guard and retired after twenty two years at Atlantic Beach, NC. Damage Control 1st Class (E-6). He worked as a welder, enjoyed catfishing and was a member of the First Assembly of God in Granite, Oklahoma. Survivors include 5 children, Brenda Lynn Roberts Suloff and son-in-law John Frank Suloff, Sr., of New Jersey, Raymond J. Roberts of Elizabeth City, NC, Danielle Piedra Buena and son-in-law Nicolas of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Elizabeth Roberts of Abbeyville, LA, Brittany Roberts of North Carolina, grandchildren John Frank Suloff, Jr., Nathan Tyler Suloff. He is also survived by his sister Loretta Livingston and husband Charles of Granite, OK, and a brother Paul Smith Roberts and wife Kathy of Jacksonville, FL and numerous other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and a sister.
