Age 86, Lawton - Graveside service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Highland Cemetery with Rev. William Arnold officiating. Chief Odom died Saturday. Burial with military honors will be under the direction of Becker Funeral Home. He was born May 26, 1921 in Grand View, Texas to Granberry and Ora Lee (Fowler) Odom. He married Mary Lew Mahanay on May 25, 1944 in Cleburne, Texas. She died July 30, 1986. Chief Odom served in the Navy for twenty two years and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of Mount Scott Masonic Lodge No 540. Survivors include a son, Larry Ray Odom and his wife Donna Marie, two daughters, Linda Posey and Bonnie Fletcher and her husband Shane, all of Lawton, six grandchildren, John Mark Youmans, Tennessee, Amanda Marie Ferguson and her husband Brian, Lawton, Natalie Ray Gonzales and her husband Troy, Oklahoma City, Michael Scott Odom, Lawton, Cristi Clark and her husband William, Suffolk, Virginia and Ryan Rulison, Lawton, and nine great grandchildren, Logan Youmans, Aiden Gonzales, Tory Gonzales, Noah Gonzales, Riley Gonzales, Allia Ferguson, Arron Stevens, McKynzie Clark and Riley Clark. He is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Becky Jane Odom, a sister, Billie Hughes and his parents.
