Randy Sellers was born on June 26, 1955 at Talley Walker Hospital in Marlow, Oklahoma to T. L. Sellers and Dessie Dell Ball. He left this world to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, May 2, 2024.
Randy was a 1973 graduate of Eisenhower High School in Lawton and later attended Cameron University. Randy worked for his father at Carnation Milk and Ice Cream Company as a delivery driver before accepting a position with Pepsi Co Bottling Company. He later became a District Manager for Frito Lay. He was a true entrepreneur, starting business enterprises in 1979 which included purchasing an apartment complex, pest control company, Armstrong McCall Beauty supply, AARP- Access Answering Service, Access Unlimited, Inc., Universal Gateway Inc., Pintel, International Global Call and Iron Shield Coatings Roofing Company. However, the business venture of which he was most proud was the success of Polar Vortex (Pool Tiger). Randy flew to New England to meet Gary Powell about an invention Gary came up with 20 years prior for the oil industry. Gary had used the same technology on his pool and saw amazing results. Randy believed in Gary so much that he sold his roofing company and committed everything he had to take Gary's dream to the world, and that's exactly what he did. One man's vision turned into another man's mission. Pool Tiger became an obsession of Randy's. The company is now a household name across four continents and is still growing.
Randy understood the value of people and their importance. Randy made it a point of meeting everyone he employed and giving them guidance and encouragement. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren and dogs more than life itself. He was a motorcycle enthusiast who started on family rides with his parents and siblings to include numerous enduros across the country. He owned Nortons and Hondas. After his cancer diagnosis he continued riding his Tri Wheel with Joleen and his pup Taco. Although he was only here on earth a brief time, his love of people made a difference and as a result many were blessed by knowing him. He will be missed.
More than anything in the world, Randy loved his Lord and Savior and is now spending eternity with him in Heaven along with all those who went before him and the souls he led to Jesus Christ.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Joleen Sellers, Edmond; his son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Shae Sellers, Edmond; his daughter and son-in-law, Traci and Josh Grider, Edmond; his daughter and son-in-law, Selene and Jarad Frisk, Yukon; his daughter Presley Sellers, River Falls, Minnesota; his grandchildren Kinser Sellers, Saydi Sellers and Ryley Grace Ella Frisk; his future granddaughter-in-law Addison Garcia; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick and Beki Sellers, Lawton and Corky and Robbie Sellers, Elgin; nephews, Brandon Sellers, Chad Sellers and wife Jessi and Camron Sellers and wife Cara; as well as many great nieces and nephews and friends.
