Graveside service for Ralph Glen McPherson will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma with Rev. Tom Willoughby of Lawton, Oklahoma officiating. Ralph will be laid to rest alongside his beloved wife, Marlene Witzel McPherson who entered eternal rest on December 26, 2020.

Arrangements are under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Ralph Glen McPherson, 94, Waxahachie, Texas and formerly of Altus, Oklahoma ascended to Heaven Saturday, June 3, 2023, in Waxahachie. He was born February 15, 1929, in Springfield, Colorado to Robert Roy and Barbara Charlotte "Lottie" (Cole) McPherson.

During the Korean War, Ralph honorably served as a Chief Warrant Officer in the United States Army. Notably, he belonged to the first group of helicopter instructors, demonstrating his skill, dedication, and commitment to his country. Following his military service, Ralph and his beloved wife, Marlene, embarked on an entrepreneurial journey in Altus, Oklahoma. Together, they owned and managed McPherson Ford, Marlene's Hallmark, and Dunkin Donuts, contributing to the local business community. Ralph actively participated in the betterment of Altus, serving on the Chamber of Commerce Board and being a member of First Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon. Recognizing his expertise and wisdom, Ralph was appointed by both Governor David Boren and Governor George Nigh to the Water Resources Board for the state of Oklahoma.

Ralph is survived by his daughter, Zoe Ann Rosenquest of Iowa Park, Texas, daughter Peggy Hopper, granddaughter, Jonna Morgan and husband Cole Morgan along with two great grandchildren, Michael Captain Morgan, and McPherson Currie Morgan all of Waxahachie, Texas, son, Jacob Roy McPherson, grandson, Sam McPherson and wife Vickie McPherson and great granddaughter, Autumn of Sanger, Texas, also, granddaughters, Charlotte McPherson and Iris McPherson.
