Age 84, Geronimo - Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday in Grace Fellowship. Mr. Macias died Tuesday in Lawton. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. He was born September 28, 1926 in North Dakota to Francisco and Jacinta (Vasquez) Macias. He came to the Lawton area at the age of five and moved to his family to Geronimo in 1970. He married Alicia Hernandez in July of 1957 in Old Mexico. He had worked as a truck driver for Larrance Tank Corporation for over 35 years. He was a member of the First Assembly of God in Geronimo. He enjoyed coin collecting and mowing with his son as well as rides in his 1946 Dodge pickup. He is survived by his wife, of the home; a son and daughter in law, Rafael and Tamrah Macias, Geronimo; a daughter and son in law, Esperanza and Daniel Whitcher, Geronimo; five grandchildren and their spouses, Rafael and Kristina Macias, Charles and Sara Macias, Nicholas Macias, Rauna and Jason Humann and Stephen and Michelle Pennington; six great grandchildren, Rafael, Victoria, Jodi, Tyler, Christopher and H leigh; a goddaughter and niece, Alicia Gouveia; two brothers and a sister in law, Arthur and Sarah Macias and Joe Macias along with many nieces and nephews. His parents, a sister, Jaunita, and a nephew, Eleno, preceded him in death. The family will greet friends from 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
