Age 82, Geronimo - Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday at Antioch Baptist Church, south of Lawton with Rev. Vivian Garza, pastor officiating. Mr. Pickens died Wednesday in Lawton. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Becker Funeral Home. He was born March 9, 1927 in Foster, Oklahoma to Walter Levi and Susie Modena (Hawkins) Pickens. He married Estelle Rhodes on May 17, 1947 in Lawton. Mr. Pickens served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He had owned and operated two service stations in Lawton. He was a truck driver for Associated Milk Producers retiring in 1992 after 20 years. Mr. Pickens was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, of the home, three children; Jim and Beth Pickens, Austin, Texas, Barbara and Ken Bowen and Denise and Robert Floyd, all of Lawton, five grandchildren and their spouses; Jennifer Bowen and Brian and Holley Floyd, all of Lawton, David Pickens, Georgetown, Texas, Jason and Sara Floyd, Oklahoma City and Marc Pickens, Georgetown, two step grandchildren; Ashley Kamrath, Houston, Texas and Jamie Gallia and her husband Allen, Austin, one great grandchild; Chloe Floyd, Lawton, one step great grandchild; Emily Gallia, Austin, a sister; Neva Landers, Lawton and a special niece and nephew; Aubrena and Matt O'Neal, San Diego, California.
