Visitation for Qunnie Delean Russell, 83, Mountain Park, will be 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. on both Monday and Tuesday at the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Lawton. Private burial will be in the Mountain Park Cemetery under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Lawton. Mrs. Russell passed away on April 8, 2011 in Lawton. Qunnie Delean Russell was born January 8,1928 in Valliant, Oklahoma to parents Laura and Willie "WC" Perry. Qunnie grew up and met Lawrence Russell in Valliant, Oklahoma. They married January 12,1946 in Kirksville, Missouri. Later (1947) their daughter, Lois Elaine Russell was born in Valliant, Oklahoma. In 1957 Qunnie, Lawrence, and Lois, moved to Mountain Park, Oklahoma. Qunnie remained in Mountain Park until her health necessitated a move to The Village On Lee Retirement Center in Lawton, Oklahoma. She quickly adjusted to life at the center and enjoyed an immediate upturn in her health. The Staff and many new friends she met showered her with loads of unconditional love. As a result of this love her self-image improved dramatically. Qunnie was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She loved people, quilting, sewing and spending time with her family and friends. Qunnie is survived by a daughter Lois McAdams and husband Ken of Mountain Park, Oklahoma; four brothers: J.D Perry and wife Vann of New London, North Carolina, Willie Perry and wife Laverne of Blair, Oklahoma, Larry Perry and wife Judy of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Harold Perry and wife Mary of Mountain Park, Oklahoma; four sisters: Bertha Gain of Mountain Park, Oklahoma, Dorothy Meek and husband Haskell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Leatha Wasdin and husband Earl of Louisiana and Doris of Indiana; two granddaughters: Sherry Krause and husband Wayne of Snyder, Oklahoma, Delaina Moeller and husband Rusty of Mountain Park, Oklahoma; five great grandchildren: Meagan Krause, Cayle Krause, Harli Sprague, Ryson Moeller and Trey Moeller; several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Qunnie was preceded in death by: husband Lawrence Russell, parents Laura and Willie "WC" Perry, two sisters Nanalou Perry and Betty Reich, and two brothers David and John Perry.
