Funeral service for Polly Patricia Exum will be 9:30 A.M. Wednesday, June 20, 2018 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Kari Kennedy of Cache officiating.

Private burial will follow at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin.

Polly Patricia Exum, 74, Lawton, passed away peacefully at Comanche County Memorial Hospital on Friday, June 15, 2018.

She was born on January 25, 1944, to Herman E. and  Louise (Stanley) Mosley in Anniston, Alabama. She was one of ten children. In 1957,  she married William Albert Smith. She became the proud mother to Pamela, William , Kimberly, and Meladee before her husband of  ten years fell ill and passed away. In 1968, she met SGM Harold Gene Exum. They married September 14, 1968 in Trenton, Georgia.  Harold and Harold Jr. were excited to join their two families together.  Their family grew with the additions of Gena, and John. Being a military family, they were stationed many places such as Frankfurt, Germany and Baumholder, Germany. While overseas, Polly and her family enjoyed participating in the volksmarches, and site seeing across Europe. Polly enjoyed searching for antiques at estate sales, garage sale, and thrift stores. Polly's hobby led to her operating several booths at many different antique markets. Polly was proud to be a wife, a mother of seven, grandmother of fourteen and great-grandmother of fifteen. She adored her family and her beloved dogs, Ginger, and Macy.  Her family and many friends will eternally cherish her loving memory.

She is survived by her children: Pamela Whipp of Lawton; William Smith and wife Buffy, of Marlow; Kim and husband, Harald Achen of Allen, Texas; Harold Gene Exum Jr. and wife, Diane of Dodge City, Kansas; Gena Exum Werner of Lawton; Her three sisters: Gail Vickery of Decateur, Alabama; Martha Thran of Grass Lake, Michigan; Jackie Moore and husband Virgil of Centre, Alabama; one brother : Curtis Mosley of Rolla, Missouri; 14  grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and many other family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Gene Exum; her daughter: Meladee Helton; her son: John Exum; her parents: Herman E. and Louise Mosley; her three brothers: Herman Edgar Mosley Jr.,  Joe Mosley,  and Willard Mosley ;  two sisters: Dorris Shadle, and Gloria White; four brothers- in-law: Gene Shadle, Vick Vickery, Billy White, and Elroy Thran; and two sisters-in-law: Betty Mosley, and Mildred Mosley.
