Phyllis Louise Quisenberry, age 78, of Lawton, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, July 17, 2025.
She was born on August 16, 1946, in Batesville, Arkansas to parents, Christine and Fred Wayland. She graduated from Central Texas College. She was the oldest sibling of five and she was described as kind, caring, and easily took on the role of big sister to all her siblings. She embraced the culture, the food, and made memories of a lifetime.
Phyllis began her career at the commissary in Germany. After her family returned state side to Lawton, Oklahoma, she continued her career at the Fort Sill Commissary where she retired after 20 + years of service.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Lisa Ashley, Terry Quisenberry Jr. and wife Melissa Quisenberry, and Patrick Quisenberry and wife Marisa Quisenberry. She is survived by her grandchildren, Thomas Ashley, Tyrell Ashley, Tabitha Ashley, Travis Ashley, Kaelyn Willis, Jimmy Quisenberry, Matthew Quisenberry, Briley Jones, Valin Quisenberry, and Marco Quisenberry. Phyllis is also survived by her siblings, Kathy Foshee, Roberta McLendon, and Brenda Schibbelhut. They will never forget the love and joy she brought to their lives.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Quisenberry Sr., her parents, Christine and Fred Wayland, her brother, Jimmy Wayland, and her son in law, Charlie Ashley and grandson-in-law, Addam Willis
