Age 77, Lawton - Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday in the El Reno Cemetery, El Reno, Oklahoma, with Rev. Charles King officiating. Mrs. Stuples died Tuesday in Oklahoma City. Burial will be under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home. She was born November 27, 1932 in El Reno to Earl and Iva Kate (Miller) Cooksey. She graduated high school in El Reno and married James H. Stuples in 1952 at El Reno. He preceded her in death in 1966. She moved to Lawton in the early 1950's and worked for Oklahoma Abstract Company for several years. She later worked for Civil Service at Fort Sill and retired after 20 years of service. She was a member of the Lawton Heights United Methodist Church and a past member of the Lawton Business and Professional Women. She is survived by a daughter and son in law, Cathy and David Stone, Lawton; three sons and a daughter in law, Jim and Darlene Stuples, Tommy Stuples and Mike Stuples, all of Lawton; seven grandchildren, Cassandra Holton, Courtney Johnson, Michael Darryl Stuples, Jr., Brian Lee Stone, Joshua Stone, Chase Stone and Sean Stone; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Trapp, Minnesota, and Opal Bigelow, North Carolina. Her parents and husband preceded her in death. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas TX 75231. The family will greet friends from 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
