Memorial service for Patty Lou Toohey will be 9:30 a.m. Monday, July 10, 2023, in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stephen J. Robinson, Chaplain, Centric Hospice officiating.

Inurnment will follow at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma.

Patty Lou Toohey, 92, of Lawton, OK passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 3, 2023. She was surrounded by her children and loved ones.

Patty was born on January 25, 1931, in Freedom, Oklahoma and was raised in Mooreland, Oklahoma where she graduated high school in 1949. Patty met the love of her life, Bill, on a blind date in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They were united in marriage on October 21, 1951. To this union four children were born, Joan Denise, William Martin, Jr., James Patrick, and Barbara Deann.

She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Patty enjoyed traveling with her family and friends. She loved spending time with her family, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She is survived by her four children Joan Hart of Mooreland, Oklahoma, Bill Toohey of Dallas, Texas, Jim and Megan Toohey of The Colony, Texas, and Barbara and Danny McDowell of Mooreland, Oklahoma, thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Delbert "Deb" and Mildred "Sis" Hepner of Mooreland, Oklahoma, husband William "Bill" Toohey of the home, sister Carol Noel, of Wichita, Kansas, one granddaughter and one great grandson, and other family members.
