Patsy S. "Pat" Norrell, age 86, Lawton, died January 5, 2018 in Lawton. She was born January 23, 1931 to Kathryn Lula Waters Robinson and G.A. Robinson in Erick, Oklahoma. She attended Delhi High School and graduated in May of 1949. Pat married Jack D. Norrell, Sr. on October 15, 1948 in Borger, Texas.
Before settling back in Oklahoma the family lived in California and West Texas. Upon the purchase of Scott's Apparel for Women they then moved to Lawton in 1964. In the late sixties she joined her husband in the ladies retail business. For many years she was known as the expert in Fashion Shows for the Lawton Community Theater and fashion events for the Lawton Philharmonic Society.
Upon the closing of the fashion business in 1994, Pat set off on a new adventure of working as an interior designer for new and existing homes for Weatherly Interiors and Ron Nance. Over the years many of Pat's fondest and favorite memories were of helping the ladies of Lawton look their best or for their home to have the best decorating design.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister and brother-in-law, Virginia "Ginger" and Jim Chandler.
Pat is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Ronda Love Norrell; a granddaughter, Kalyn Norrell, Norman; sisters, Gloria Stevens and husband Don, Oklahoma City and Phyllis M. Vaughan, Oklahoma City; a brother, Allen Robinson, Sayre; sister-in-law, Marita Norrell, Lawton; nieces, Terry Norrell, Lawton, Monica Scott, Sayre and Debbie Norrell-Bringhurst, Southlake, Texas; nephews, Mitchell L. and Michael Robinson, Sayre and Steve Norrell, Dallas, Texas; and great nieces Samantha and Melissa Scott, Sayre.
The family would like to especially thank R. Brent Smith, M.D. for his loving care and kindness. Additionally they would like to thank the Memory Care Unit at CCMH and the CCMH Hospice for their kindness, care and support of Pat.
Memorial contributions to First Baptist Church or to a charity of the donor's choice in Pat's memory would be greatly appreciated.
