With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Parkhurst, who died on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, in Lawton, Oklahoma, at the age of 89. She was born on October 15, 1935, in Johnson City, New York, to Walter and Mildred Parkhurst. Patricia grew up and attended school in Johnson City.

A mother of seven, Patricia spent most of her life as a homemaker. She occasionally held part-time jobs, with one of her most memorable roles being a bus monitor for Edmond Public Schools.

In June 1965, she married Jimmy Doug Street. Together, they lived in several places before settling in Retrop, Oklahoma, and later in Sentinel, where they resided for many years prior to their divorce.

Patricia was a member of Retrop Baptist Church and found joy in gardening.

She is survived by her seven children and their spouses, James and Margie Carey, North Carolina, Tina "Bené" and Jerry Wooten, Texas, John and Suzann Carey, New York, Thomas Waldron, South Carolina, Nadine and Bob Hanefield, Lawton, OK, Ginger Street, Lawton, OK and Lori and Jeff Linde, Piedmont OK; 11 grandchildren, Chad Carey, Brad Carey, Jonathan Wooten, Justin Wooten, Thomas Carey, Meredith Mejia, Jenny Davis, Jacob Street, Caroline Razook, Jace Linde and Jill Collins; 13 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.

Her parents and her sister, Sandra, preceded her in death.
