Memorial service for Patricia Ann "Patty" Futch will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2026, in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel, with Josh Mallow of Northwest Church of Christ officiating.
The service may be viewed by following the link at www.beckerfuneral.com or by visiting the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Facebook page.
Patty was a woman of strength, humor, and deep love for her family. She graduated from Eisenhower High School in May of 1973. That September, she moved to Wichita Falls, Texas, to attend Draughom Business College, where she lived at the YWCA while pursuing her studies.
In 1975, Patty moved to Germany with her parents. Her family was actively involved in community and service organizations: her father was a Mason, her mother a member of the Eastern Star, and Patty was involved in the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, where she served as President at one time. As the daughter of a military serviceman, her early years included travel between Germany and the United States before the family eventually settled in Lawton, where she attended Pecan Grove Elementary School and formed lifelong friendships.
Patty was married to Keith Cogbill on September 4, 1976, in Friedberg, Germany. She later married John Mosal on December 21, 1990. John preceded her in death on February 23, 2017.
Throughout her working life, Patty was known for her dedication and reliability. She worked at Cameron University in the business office, Physical Facilities, and Upward Bound/Open Doors, spent a short time at Bennett Office Supply, and later worked for Northrop Grumman, where she retired in March of 2018.
She was baptized in 2007, attended church regularly, and taught Sunday School for a time. Patty was known for her great sense of humor and unforgettable laugh. She was the free spirit among her siblings, spunky, strong-willed, and widely regarded as the strongest woman by those who knew her best.
Patty loved her children and grandchildren beyond words and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She had a big heart, especially for animals, and her beloved dog Tiko who now rests peacefully with her. She often joked that she loved animals more than people. Family traditions were important to her, including Easter Sundays spent cooking out, hiking, and hunting eggs at Sunset Picnic Area. She also cherished simple joys, like taking her children to Sonic for drinks and driving through Cache and the wildlife refuge, calling it an inexpensive way to spend time together.
Patty enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and Sunday softball games with family and friends. Her strength, laughter, and fierce love will be deeply missed.
Patty is survived by her daughter, Catherine M. "Shelly" Burk, son, Robert "Bobby" Cogbill, grandchildren, Enrique "Chello" Arce, Kali A. Scoggins and Jackson, Wade Cogbill, sisters, Rebecca L. Smith and husband Gary and Dorothy J. Gaschler and husband William.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, Ronny Burk.
