Funeral service for Ophelia Mae Higgins Favorite, 80, Lawton, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tom Willoughby officiating. Mrs. Favorite died October 10, 2012 in Lawton. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. She was born October 21, 1931 in Woodford, Oklahoma, to Claude and Cora (Akers) Harper. She grew up in Ardmore and was a graduate of Plainview High School. She married Joe F. Higgins on March 19, 1949 in Montague, Texas. He preceded her in death on December 21, 1979. She was primarily a homemaker but had helped and supported her husband in his painting and dry wall business. She later married MAJ (Retired) Ralph S. Favorite, Sr. in Lawton. He preceded her in death on October 11, 2004. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She was a bowler and enjoyed baking and fishing at Lake Texoma. She is survived by a daughter and son in law, Natalie and Fred Fitch, Lawton; a sister, Oleta Faye Manley, Ardmore, Oklahoma; two brothers and sisters in law, Virgil and Betty Harper, Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, and Bob and Joan Harper, Ardmore; many special nieces and nephews. Her parents and three brothers, Jonny, Ralph and Earl Harper preceded her in death. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leah M.
