Funeral service for Opal Corrine Dawson, 91, Lawton will be 10:00 am Thursday at the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Pyung Sim, Pastor, Korean Presbyterian Church, officiating. Mrs. Dawson died Sunday, December 11, at a local care center. Burial will be 2:00 pm Thursday at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Mrs. Dawson was born March 19, 1920 in Crawford County, Indiana to Mathias and Martha Elizabeth (Bauer) Bischoff. She married Jack Ira Dawson on June 17, 1940. He preceded her in death on May 25, 1997 in Oklahoma City. Before her marriage, she worked in Oklahoma City as an optical technician. She was a charter member of the Brookwood Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. In Lawton she attended the Korean Presbyterian Church. She was a loving mother and wife. She is survived by a son and daughter in law, David and Yong Dawson, Lawton; two grandsons, Paul and his wife Shannon Dawson, Chicopee, Massachusetts, and Michael Boyer, Lawton; three great grandsons, Toby Wolfenbarger, Benjamin Dawson and Jack Dawson; and a nephew, Donald Shourd, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Mary Sue Dawson.
