Graveside service for Oleta Guffin, 96, Lawton will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jack Darnell officiating. Mrs. Guffin died Sunday, July 10, 2011 in Lawton. Burial will be under the direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. She was born on March 28, 1915 in Banrel, Texas to Sam and Viola (Hollis) Karr. She married Jack V. Guffin on December 1, 1933 in Altus, Oklahoma. He died March 6, 2003. She was employed at Jefferson Elementary School for ten years and at McMahon-Tomlinson Nursing Center for nine years. She was a member of the First Church of God, Anderson Affiliation. Survivors include two daughters, Peggie Spencer, Lawton and Francine Crutcher and her husband David, Lawton, a son, Sam Guffin and his wife Susie, Oklahoma City, a brother, S. W. Karr, Silulue, Texas, nine grandkids, nineteen great grandkids and one great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her mother, dad, three brothers and son-in-law, Mancy Spencer.
