Graveside service for Norbert Arno Edmonds will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Highland Cemetery, Lawton, Oklahoma.

Burial with military honors will be in Highland Cemetery, Lawton, Oklahoma under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Norbert Edmonds passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025, in OU Medical Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma after a brief sickness.

Norbert Edmonds was born in Waldeck, Germany on July 11, 1946, to David Edmonds and Lieselotte Werner. He attended several different schools as he was an Army brat. He joined the military at the US Army Post Office in Italy as a construction equipment repairer/mechanic, he served for 12 years and 10 months and then was honorable discharged. He received good conduct medal, national defense service medal, army commendation medal, Vietnam gallantry cross w/palm, Vietnam campaign medal w/ 60 device, Vietnam service medal, 2 o/s bars, and mechanic badge. Norbert loved speaking about the Army and where all he traveled, but his favorite would have been Korea. He talked about how he received a degree in Korean Language and proudly wore his Korean jacket up until he couldn't. He met Beverly Hart while in the military, and they had two children, David Edmonds, and Crystal Edmonds. He later would become a woodworker; and he worked at Warren Jewelry in Lawton, Oklahoma for 29 years until he retired in 2019 at the age of 73. He met Kerry Sullivan in 2007 while working together at Warren Jewelry and on February 15, 2008, he married his love he called Sweetie, Kerry Sullivan.

Norbert is survived by step-son Casey Ballou and wife Jessica of the home, grandson, Quintin Addy of the home, son David Edmonds of North Carolina, daughters, Crystal Edmonds of Virginia, and Whitney Coble of Missouri, step-son, Adam Stephenson and wife Britney of Lawton, Oklahoma, and step-daughter, Lisa Williams and husband Aaron of Lawton Oklahoma, grandkids, Ashley Jo, Deven, Raven, Brandi, Bradley, Theodore, and Millie, great-grandkids, Noah, and Mulani, father-in-law, Don Sullivan of Elgin, Oklahoma.

Norbert was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, daughter in law, Donna Edmonds, and his wife Kerry Edmonds.
