Funeral Mass for Nellie J. Ardoin, 91, of Lawton, will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Rev. Brannon Lepak, Pastor, officiating. Burial to follow in Post Cemetery, Fort Sill, Oklahoma under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Friends may view at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. starting on Saturday, February 7, 2026.

Nellie J. Ardoin died on February 3, 2026, in Lawton, Oklahoma after a well lived life. She was born in Ville Platte, Louisiana on December 27, 1934, to Joseph Ike and Lydie (McGee) Fontenot. Nellie grew up in Chataignier, Louisiana, and graduated from High School there in 1952. She continued her education at Spencer Business College in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Nellie married her husband of 56 years, CSM (Retired) Easton Joseph "E.J." Ardoin, on April 13, 1954, in Chataignier, Louisiana. She followed her husband to Fort Sill, Oklahoma in May of that year. After some time in Germany, the two returned to Lawton, Oklahoma in 1961.

Nellie Ardoin was a hard worker and faithful follower of Christ. She worked for Glenn E. Mask and Associates and the Comanche County Assessor's Office for 12 years. She also worked for Fort Sill Federal Credit Union for some time. She was a faithful member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Her work ethic and faith were to the benefit of her family as she lived as a homemaker for much of her adult life.

Nellie will be remembered for her love for Christ, family, and, of course, clothes shopping.

Nellie is survived by her son, Lloyd Ardoin of Moore, Oklahoma; daughter, Donna Ardoin of Lake Charles, Louisiana; grandson, Austin Miller of Lake Charles, Louisiana; great-grandson, Shepard Miller of Lake Charles, Louisiana; and her sister, Pinky Lafleur of Ville Platte, Louisiana

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Floyd Fontenot.
