Age 78, Lawton - Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Sergeant Hart died Monday in Lawton. Arrangements are under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-8 pm. He was born December 29, 1931 in Osage, Oklahoma to Jesse John and Margaret (Engbretson) Hart. He was drafted into the Air Force and spent 22 years before retiring at Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, Colorado. He was then employed as a mail carrier in Aurora, Colorado for the United States Postal Service for 19 years. He married Pauline K. Whitaker in Hartford City, Indiana on March 8, 1953. He was a member of the Iris Society of Lawton. He loved working in his garden. He is survived by his wife, of the home; two daughters and sons in law, Debbie and Bill Priday of Denver, Colorado and Margaret "Margie" and Jesse Dunn of Lawton; 6 grandchildren, Kelli Dunn, Jared and wife Theresa Dunn, Cassie Ellis, Christopher Priday, Daniel Priday and Jessica Dunn; and 6 great grandchildren, Kayla Dunn, Kendle Hennessee, Kylie Hennessee, Jacob Dunn, Jackson Dunn and Addison Smith. His parents and a daughter, Dee Dee Ellis preceded him in death. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1320 Homestead Drive, Lawton, OK 73505.
