Age 81, Lawton - Services will be Thursday at 10:00 am at the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Chaplain (MAJ) David Harsdorf, Fort Sill, officiating. Sergeant Richardson died Monday at his home. Burial with full military honors will be at the Post Cemetery, Fort Sill. Arrangements are under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home. Sergeant Richardson was born August 28, 1927 in Rochester, New Hampshire to William E. and Elizabeth (Hatfield) Richardson. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. He retired from the Army after 30 years at Fort Sill and worked for Montgomery Wards before retiring from there. He married Edna Lee Stanley on February 14, 1962 in Lawton. She died January 2, 2009. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, LTC William L. and Raylene Richardson of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and 2 grandsons, Tyler Richardson and Travis Richardson. His parents and 2 sisters preceded him in death.
