Memorial service for MSG (Ret) Dean Edward Durbin, 46, Lawton, will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Zaqen (Elder) Wayne Ingalls, Lawton, officiating. Sergeant Durbin died Monday at his home. He was born September 19, 1964 in Urbana, Illinois to Edward and Pauline (Copeland) Durbin. He grew up in Urbana before joining the Army. He served with distinction earning the Meritorious Service Medal (2nd Award), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Humanitarian Service Medal. He married Lori Cox on September 21, 1991 in Springfield, Illinois. He was a private pilot and enjoyed flying.
