Funeral service for Mollie Brady will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2017 in Cameron Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Teel, Pastor officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mollie Brady, age 87, Lawton, died Friday, January 20, 2017 in Lawton.  She was born March 13, 1929 in Tonkawa, Oklahoma, to William A. and Mary (Clark) Garrett.  Mollie moved to the Elgin area as a girl and was a graduate of Elgin High School, later attending Cameron College.  She married Cliff Brady on May 5, 1955 in the Holy City of the Wichita's Chapel.  Cliff preceded her in death on July 8, 2012.

Mollie had worked for Kress Department Store and Fairmont Dairy as a young woman.  She worked for Fowler's Paint and Glass and in 1975 she and Cliff established Brady & Brown, Inc. which later became Brady's Design Center.

She and her husband were very civically minded and devoted to the Lawton community.  She was a member of Cameron Baptist Church, the Credit Women of Lawton and had been active in the Cameron University Black & Gold Club.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Parlan and Martha Brady, Lawton; her daughter, Suzanne Cherry, Lawton; five grandsons, Cody Cherry, Clay Cherry, Connor Cherry, John Lee and Joe Lee; her son-in-law, Clifford Cherry; two sisters, Edna Faye Davis, Lawton and Lillian Lowe and husband Howard, Houston, Texas; a special friend, Nicole Caballero, Lawton; numerous nieces and nephews.

Her parents, three sisters, Vinita High, Annie Heck and Naomi Hayes, and two brothers, Melvin Self and Robert Garrett, preceded her in death.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cameron Baptist Church or to Promise Care Hospice.
