Graveside service for Minnie M. Kirklen will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 24, 2017 in the Elgin Cemetery with Dr. Keith Miles, pastor of Central Baptist Church officiating.

Burial will be under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Minnie M. Kirklen, age 104, of Lawton, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017 in Lawton.  She was born January 24, 1913 to John and Maude Matlock in Duncan, Oklahoma.  She lived in Cyril and Lawton most of her life.  She married Ras Kirklen on July 7, 1933 in Fletcher, Oklahoma.  He died July 20, 2000.  They moved to Lawton in August of 1934.  She graduated from Houston Beauty College in 1935.  She owned and operated Minnie's Beauty Shop for forty-one years in Lawton.  She served twice as the President of the Lawton Cosmetology Association.  She was a member of Central Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday School Class.  She had taught Sunday School for many years.

Survivors include three nephews, Johnny Matlock, Tuttle, Oklahoma, Ron Kelley, New Mexico and Tom Fette, Atlanta, Georgia and a niece, Linda Lindsey, Fletcher, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her husband, six sisters and four brothers.
