Minnie Mearl (Ross) Ball was born in Hinton, Oklahoma on March 26, 1935, to Walter James and Ruth Jane (Williams) Ross. She passed away January 19, 2026, in Altus, Oklahoma. She grew up in Hinton, Oklahoma City, and Cement, graduating from Cement High School. Mearl married Bob Ball and they spent their life together traveling the world while Bob served in the U.S. Army. They were stationed and lived in Germany, France, Japan, Virginia, Texas, and Oklahoma. To this union, five children were born. Mearl was a faithful Christian and prayer warrior, who raised her family to serve and love the Lord. She taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and was a church greeter. She would break into song at any moment. She worked as a cook at Bishop Schools for several years. She enjoyed playing dominoes and cards, especially Phase 10 where she won many times.
